Pick the smallest scale that does the job

A product photo for a web shop rarely needs more than 2x. A print or poster may call for 4x or more. Very large outputs take longer and may be limited by file size, so start small and step up.

How to increase image resolution with VEME

  1. Add the picture

    Upload an image or choose one from your history.

  2. Choose a model

    Topaz Upscale is selected first; switch if you need a bigger scale or an illustration flavor.

  3. Set mode and scale

    Pick the mode that matches the picture and the smallest scale that fits your use.

How do I increase the resolution of an image?

Upload the picture, pick a model and a mode that suits it, choose 2x or 4x and press Upscale Image. For a very large print, a Magnific model can go to x8 or x16.

What is the largest scale in the image upscaler?

Topaz Upscale goes up to 4x. Magnific Creative offers x8 and x16, and Magnific Precision V2 has a scale slider that goes past 4x. Very large source files may hit size limits, so test with a smaller scale first.

Which file formats work?

The tool page names JPG and PNG for uploads, and Topaz Upscale lets you save the result as PNG or JPG.

Will an AI image upscaler change my photo?

It adds detail that the small file did not hold, so fine textures may come out slightly different from the real scene. For faces, products and text, compare the result with the original before you publish.

Can it fix blurry text or screenshots?

Topaz Upscale has a Text mode meant for letters and lines. Very small or heavily compressed text may still not become fully readable.

Do I need to sign in?

You can open the upscaler and try it in the browser. You may be asked to log in before you download the high-resolution file.
